I saw this post about some interesting VR videos. The two mentioned on that page, The Wave Of the Future and Super Mario, were fairly interesting. VR still has a long long way to go.
More interesting for you game creator wannabes, you might want to check out Alice. It doesn’t look quite as cool as Virtools in terms of quality and flexibility but it’s free and it does look like it might be easier to get started with. It’s a program that lets you place 3D objects and then script them visually to make a game. To understand what it is watch the Overview of Alice video on this page. Note that it takes a LONG TIME to load.
Following the link, I noticed that Alice has some big-ass feet, for such a cute little character.
